Prime Minister of Iraq announces completion of the consultancy work by the Consultants (Eicon), and confirms that this will soon be presented to the cabinet for approval.

Eicon has signed a contract with ITPC (Informatics & Telecom Public Company), one of the companies under the Ministry of Communications in the Republic of Iraq, for providing specialized technical consultancy on the project of “consultative study for establishing a joint-stock national telecommunication company for ICT services via mobile phone network”. The project was signed on 23 March 2023, and completed during the specified 3-month period  (29/7/2023)..

The project scope included the following Tasks:-

1. Review of options for incorporating a joint-stock company under Iraqi Laws

2. Study of frequency spectrum needed for the national license

3. Study of market and growth forecasts

4. Design, specifications, and technology options for network.

5. Preparation of the economic business case for the national license

6. Review of options for public private partnership sector for the new company.

7. Propose for training programs.

8. Preparation of documents for Investors.
